About Our Family

We are a Christian family living in beautiful Colorado. We began our marriage adventure over 20 years ago, and it has been a crazy ride ever since! We have seven children with us here and one little one awaiting us in the age to come.

We love God first and foremost. In everything, we endeavor to please Him. We believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the divine Son of God, and by His shed blood we receive atonement for our sins. We also believe that He fulfilled the Torah (Law) of God, specifically in living it perfectly and paying the death penalty required because we have all broken the Law; He did not abolish it or do away with it. Instead, we can see the essence of His perfection and sacrifice in every page of the Old Testament and the New Testament. God’s commandments are for everyone, both Jew and Gentile. While we love God’s statutes, we do not look to Rabbinic or Talmudic Judaism for enlightenment on how to live in obedience, but rather to the Scriptures themselves and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. We pursue a Torah-submissive lifestyle as a “walking out” of our faith and gratitude for His gift of salvation as well as a love for His ancient paths. We believe our Father’s commandments and statutes are a delight, not a burden.

We worship and rest as a family on the biblical Shabbat (Sabbath). As a family, we celebrate the biblical festivals:  Pesach (Passover – commemorates Christ’s sacrificial death as the Lamb of God and His delivering us from the Egypt of our sin and shame), Ha Matzot (Unleavened Bread – commemorates Christ’s sinless life and our call to sanctification), Ha Bikkurim (First Fruits – commemorates Christ’s resurrection), Shavuot (Pentecost – commemorates the giving of the Torah at Sinai and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit), Yom Teruah (Festival of Trumpets – commemorates Christ’s return), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement – commemorates when all sin will finally be done away with forever), and Sukkot (Festival of Booths – commemorates the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and being united with our Bridegroom in New Creation).

We have graduated three students from our homeschool thus far. All of our adult children still live at home while they pursue further academics and employment, but because we all actually enjoy each other, we love being together as a family. You will often find us around the dinner table engaged in debate, study of the Scriptures, uproarious laughter, and singing hymns as a family from the Cantus Christi.

Thanks for stopping by!
